Old Malt Cask Glengoyne 16 Year Old 2007 25th Anniversary

Bottled in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Hunter Laing's Old Malt Cask series. This special edition features throwback packaging, presented in the style of early bottles in the series. A special anniversary requires special whisky and this 16 year old single cask expression of Glengoyne is exactly that. Matured for a full 16 years in a refill sherry butt, a heavy and oozing note of toffee and stewed fruits permeate from the nose, followed by thick vanilla custard. One is treated to cocoa and candied citrus on the palate, with a lasting oaky finish. Only 677 bottles were drawn from this single cask.
