Tasting Notes

Nose: Rich, fruity and sherried smokiness with notes of phenols, seaweed, light creosote, dried chilli flakes, spicy black pepper, sweet oakiness, orange oil, and tropical fruit juice.
Palate: Powerful rich, sherried, herbal smoky flavours, orange peel, coffee, sea salt, tobacco, white pepper, grassy peat, almond butter, lemon zest, biscuit dough, honeydew melon, and red dried fruits.
Finish: Long and quite pungent with more smoke, liquorice, sea spray, toasted barley, salty liquorice, crispy smoke, and peppery notes.

Overall: Master of Malt: Offers hearty phenols, smoky herbs, cracked black pepper and balancing waves of sherry-soaked fruit. WhiskyRant: Tasty dram if you let it breathe and give some water, which improves it and gives room for sophisticated smoke. Singlemalt.ph: A wonderfully smoky island Scotch whisky which balances sweet and floral aromas with the richness and warmth of sea salt and smoke. Reddit: Lovely, rich, subtle, and soft smoke with salty, savory meatiness. Sugary and decadent with a medium-peaty mouthfeel, balanced with cherry syrup and dessert toppings.
