Glenallachie 19 Year Old, Masters of Wood

The newest addition to Glenallachie's Masters of Wood series offers a 19 year old whisky aged in rare and venerable solera sherry casks. First spending time aging in ex-bourbon casks, the whisky maturation was finished in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez casks which had previously been part of a traditional solera system for 55 years. Bottled at 50% abv, non-chill filtered and natural colour.

On the nose there are aromas of plums, mocha, caramel and molasses, while the palate has notes of plum, treacle, black cherries, mocha, and brandied fruits, balanced by the soft spice of cinnamon and ginger.
