Craigellachie was founded in 1891 and has been focused on producing whisky for blends for most of its existence. Only in 2014 did owners John Dewar & Sons (the Scotch whisky arm of Bacardi) introduce a core range of single malts. Craigellachie 13 Years Old The Ultimate 2009 Cask #306169 is an independent bottling of single malt from this relatively unknown Speyside distillery. The whisky was distilled on 23 June 2009 and matured for 13 years in first-fill bourbon barrel #306169. It was bottled in October 2022 by Dutch independent bottler van Wees for the acclaimed The Ultimate range.
