Chichibu Distillery Ⅱ, Ichiro’s Malt

Chichibu Distillery II (or Chichibu II) is a separate, newer whisky distillery established by Ichiro Akuto to meet high demand and serve as a major expansion for his acclaimed Chichibu Distillery. Opened in 2019 and with its first bottlings released in early 2025, Chichibu II is characterized by its bourbon cask-driven style and a significant amount of floor-malted barley. This new site represents a continuation of the Chichibu brand's innovative spirit and its vision for the future of Japanese craft whisky.
